Everitt is a litigator with more than twenty-five years of experience in resolving business, commercial, real estate, construction, corporate, patent, and intellectual property law disputes.
On the general business side, his background includes complex cases involving the full range of enterprise conflicts from commercial contract claims to real estate development and construction suits. He has handled multi-party business disputes involving local, national, and international participants in mediation, arbitration, and court trials.
On the intellectual property side, his practice areas include both litigation and business advice in patent, copyright, trade secret, unfair competition, and trademark law. He is a registered patent attorney with a technical background in computer science and engineering, including computer software and hardware, internet, and e-commerce technologies. His intellectual property litigation experience includes federal and state trials, International Trade Commission patent trials, state and federal appeals, arbitration, mediation, and dispute resolution counseling. His transactional experience includes patent, copyright, and trademark licensing; patent and intellectual property corporate due diligence; advice on protection of intellectual property rights, and high-tech contract negotiations.
